I am currently pursuing my MFA in RIT's Visual Communications Design program. I have always found myself drawn to specific areas within the field which includes information design, print media, web design, interactive multimedia, animation, and illustration. I have taken a bit of an unconventional path as my interests also include other areas having explored the field of engineering and architectural design for a year as an undergraduate student. I also have dyslexia which in my opinion has been a blessing and a curse; it has made some things more challenging but it also has allowed me to continually view the world from a different perspective - one may even say a bit "outside the box." This "outside the box" view continues to be very positive especially in regard to my artwork. As I pursue my Masters at RIT I am recognizing a dream come true as I am able to combine my interests with my instinctual desire to help others enjoy the new global graphic design world which has emerged and is constantly changing.
